Kowroski has expanded the company's repertory with works by celebrated choreographers like George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, and commissioned new pieces, including a collaboration with fashion designer Zac Posen. Her vision includes extending workweeks for the artists, fostering a dynamic and innovative environment.
Founded in 1958 by Carolyn Clark and George Tomal, New Jersey Ballet has grown into a prestigious arts institution. Known for its high standards, the company premiered its first Nutcracker performance in 1971 at the Paper Mill Playhouse, featuring renowned dancer Edward Villella.
