Parangal’s mission is to give tribute to Philippine heritage by preserving and promoting ethnic attire, music, and dance through research, workshops, and performances. We aim to serve as a bridge,inspiring and connecting Filipinos in diaspora to their roots to give them a sense of pride and identity, while educating diverse communities to foster awareness and appreciation of Philippine culture.
The history of Parangal Dance Company is deeply rooted in the preservation and promotion of Philippine Indigenous culture. Founded in 2008, the company has been dedicated to celebrating the cultural heritage of Indigenous communities across the Philippine archipelago. Under the direction of Eric Espartinez Solano, Parangal aims to inspire and connect Filipino Americans to their roots, fostering a sense of pride and identity while educating diverse communities about Philippine culture. The company's mission includes paying tribute to culture bearers who have dedicated their lives to protecting and preserving their ancestral lands and traditions. Parangal's commitment to education and advocacy has been central to its work, with regular immersion visits and mentorship programs that support the unique talents and contributions of artists and dancers.
