The Cincinnati Ballet has undergone several name changes, first becoming the "Cincinnati Ballet Company" in 1968 and then simply "Cincinnati Ballet" in 1983. It has also been a pioneer in training young dancers, with the School of Cincinnati Ballet and the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) serving as key educational institutions.
