By collaborating with renowned choreographers, they reflect contemporary voices and universal themes that resonate with diverse audiences.
Co-founded by Kevin Iega Jeff and Gary Abbott, Deeply Rooted Dance Theater made its debut in 1996, building on the legacy of JUBILATION! Dance Company. Jeff's move to Chicago in 1994 marked the beginning of a new chapter, where he, along with Abbott and other collaborators, established a space that emphasizes the artistic process and collective creativity. This synergy of talents laid the groundwork for Deeply Rooted's unique contributions to the dance world.
