Dance has been a central part of my life since I was 3. After appearing with major companies and working across 6 continents I have witnessed some progress and also some persistent gaps in the field of preservation in dance. I founded ChromaDiverse to protect dance archives globally—an essential yet often neglected pillar of our artistic and cultural legacy.

Life is so short, and your dance career will go by in a flash. Performing in a ballet company is very demanding and if you aren’t passionate about the work, it will be exceedingly difficult. Find a place where you feel happy and supported. Remain open to learning new things and never give up.

Curtain Call, hosted by ChromaDiverse was an innovative evening for dance artists, historians, and enthusiasts that brought together current and former performers to honor over 150 years of dance excellence in the Bay Area while looking toward the future of dance documentation and storytelling. It took place on November 2, 2025, at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco. Artists from Dimensions Dance Theatre, Jubilee American Dance Theatre, Parangal, Oakland Ballet Company and San Francisco Ballet attended and experienced a soft launch of our platform, CurtainConnect.
