Paul Novosel, a pianist, composer, and author, has had a close association with dance from his early career. He served as dance class accompanist at Rockhurst College, as well as performing “The Scott Joplin Rags” with The Kansas City Ballet. He also served as staff pianist for Dance Theatre of Harlem for 12 years and authored with dance artist Judy Tyrus the book “Dance Theatre of Harlem: A History, A Movement, A Celebration” (Kensington/Dafina 2021).
