Karel Shook is internationally recognized as one of the most influential and productive ballet masters of our time. Gifted as a master teacher of ballet he was also a talented choreographer, a published author, poet and accomplished chef and linguist. Co-founder of Dance Theatre of Harlem he restaged the pas de deux from Le Corsaire and Don Quixote and mentored and taught hundreds of artists from around the world.
